The Storm Prediction Center has issued a rare high-risk outlook for a multi-day severe weather outbreak expected to produce dozens of tornadoes across the central and southern United States from Friday through Sunday.

Threat Area

The highest risk stretches from central Texas through Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois. Multiple strong to violent tornadoes are possible.
